A Dentists Nightmare

Came across this little gem on Crown Alley today, got me some sugared almonds, pear drops and my favourite...rhubarb&custard. I hope Mr.Treats Sweets is here to stay.

Behind door no.2.........

This ominous creature adorns the door of Odessa members club and restaurant. My favourite place in the city for breakfast. You'd be hard pressed to get a seat here for Sunday brunch.

Travelling Light

While sitting in Stephen's Green enjoying the sun we spotted this couple who seamed to have brought their whole life with them on holiday. It wasn't until their four children arrived back from doing a bit of shopping that it all made sense!

Mechanical Bowels (26June10)

This was the detail of the engine of  HGV stopped on City Quay. I like the way some of the shapes in this image are almost organic.

The Devil's in the Detail

I spotted this on a walkabout in Smithfield, I think it was on Green street. It was a basement window. the blurred lines are the metal caging over the window. I wonder what made such a clean hole in the glass?

Wrong Number!

Just outside the side entrance to Stephen's Green Shopping centre, on King Street South. Either somebody took a wrong turn, or a dissatisfied customer took their anger out on this poor phone-box!

Nice work if you can make it (Mon21June10)

This artist was at work as I walked home from a night out in the early hours of yesterday morning. I'd never seen graffiti in progress before, this was on Aungier st.

And this was the finished piece as I was walking home from work yesterday. I wonder how long it will last?
Below is another piece of work that the same artist did beside the Bernard Shaw pub on Richmond st. That piece only lasted a few days before it was covered. It's a lot of work for a short period of appreciation I think.

Need Love

This young man was busking on Grafton st today. The signs on his guitar case read: "Want Band Member, Need Love". He was singing Beatles songs in Japanese (not very well!!)

Who? (Sat 19June10)

Graffiti on the pavement on Georges Street, apparently they're all over the city. This is the only one that I've found so far though.

A sign of Love

A sign outside St Thomas Church (Anglican -- Episcopalian), near Stillorgan. I gave the boyf a fright when I lunged for my camera as we were driving past!

The Bernard Shaw on Richmond st, are hosting the Kieth Haring Pop Show from June 6th to July 7th. And they have painted the outside of the pub accordingly. This is a pub come gallery, and the exhibitions inside change on a regular basis.......buy art while you have a pint! (The above quote is from Mr.Haring himself.)

Shadow of a City.

This is a clever addition to various advertisement stands around the city. It shows a silhouette of the city including the Customs House. This one was on Cuffe st.
