I think these are part of a series, because I blogged another one of these in June. That one was 1974. This one is 2004, taken on a lamppost on Richmond Street. I wonder if there's one for every decade? In case you can't read the image, this one reads:
that rotten year, poor old four.
a trigger debate, a quiet mistake.
a ganged array, a call made late.
a consumed, arranged carriage of fate.
a marriage miscarried, called off late.
twelve more months of dirt.
two more girls got burnt.
dead helen, dead horses, a century late.
I had to go back and look at the other one, too. Interesting pictures and powerful poems, too! Seems to me they should be in a book or an art gallery.
