This is The Sunlight Chambers on the corner of Parliament street and Essex Quay. It was built in 1902 as the headquarters for Lord Lever (of Lever Brothers), the friezes depict the history of hygiene. It is said by some to be one of the first unofficial advertising's the city had.

A thousand words

A wall of history inside The Museum Building in Trinity College. I went on a walk about with my sister, I was talking photos of her for the college website. She will be the Irish Officer (Oifigeach na Gaeilge) for 2010/2011. Bit of a fridge moment!

I Want Candy!

The most delicious looking macaroon covered mannequin in the window of Cocoa Atelier on Drury street. Only open a few months, you can find everything from a wide range of macaroons to chocolate spreads.

Patterns in the Pavement

Glass tile detail on the pavement outside Hot Press offices on Trinity street. These are all over the city, some more colourful than others.

Feeding Frenzy

Pigeons having a feast at the corner of Capel street and Mary street. This was taken with my Holga, and i did a double exposure.

 An advertisement for Jack's Barbers on Montague st. The bike was at the top of Wexford street and the end of Camden street, right where the two streets meet.

I noticed this cross when I was sheltering from the rain, it was stuck inside the Georges st door of the Georges st Arcade.

They grow up so fast!

Outside SéSí (That means HimHer in Irish) on Upper Fownes st, Temple Bar. The pram was advertising Lucy's Lounge which is housed in the basement, it's an Aladdin's cave of everything from vintage clothes to old biscuit tins. I love it.

Outside a pub on the corner of Camden Row and Camden street. Can't remember the name of the pub though.

The Recession

This was an abandoned building on Bride street, spotted it on the way home form the GYM. Can't believe I haven't noticed it before, I walk this was all the time! I had to take the photo through the shutters though.

Traces of a good night...

On Pleasants street this morning I came across this flower that had had better days! Generally what I have to walk past is worse, so this was a nice surprise!
